Our primary goal is that you should enjoy using our app.
To constantly expand and improve the work we do to promote and support the Landscape Park, this application (the “Lapano app”) now enables you to explore the grounds of the Landscape Park.
To enable this, handling your personal data is required at various locations but we collect as little personal data as possible. This Privacy Policy explains the purposes for which we collect personal data, what data we collect and how we handle data to enable you to use all the features of the Lapano app.

You can send us messages such as error messages, questions, praise or any constructive feedback. This can be done in different ways such as via Facebook, Instagram, twitter or by email.
Since 25 May 2018, the stipulations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) must be applied in all EU member states. The following information provides you with an overview of the processing of your personal data and your rights resulting from the Data Protection Regulations.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT DATA PROCESSING
1. EXTENT OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
We process our users’ personal data exclusively and only for a short period of time in the form of IP addresses, insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional application and our content and services. The IP addresses are anonymised after just a few minutes.
2. LEGAL BASIS FOR PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.
3. DATA DELETION AND STORAGE TIME
Your personal data (the IP address) are used to make the app available and are anonymised after a few minutes. This anonymous data are deleted after a maximum of 3 months.
PROVISION OF THE APPLICATION AND CREATION OF LOGFILES
The hosting services we use are designed to provide the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage and database services, security services, and technical maintenance services which we use to manage this online service.
We or our hosting provider Krankikom GmbH, Schifferstr. 200, 47059 Duisburg, process the user’s IP address for the efficient and secure provision of this online service.
We use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (such as TLS) to protect the security of your data during transmission.
With each request, our system and/or hosting provider automatically collects data about every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files).
The following data are collected:
- information about the app version
- operating system
- user’s IP address
- date and time of access
The user’s collected IP address is anonymised after a few minutes. The precise process is as follows:
- log is saved with IP address.
- IP addresses in the logs are anonymised within a few minutes.
- log files are deleted after three months.
This means that personal data (the IP address) are not stored permanently but only for a short period of time.
USE OF COOKIES
Session cookies are not used in the online "Lapano app".
CONTACT FORMS AND REGISTRATION FORMS
Contact and registration forms are not used in the online “Lapano app”. Data collection, processing and storage do not take place.
BEACONS
For the app to function, so-called beacons are used at our information points. Beacons only send signals to nearby smartphones and do not process signals themselves. This technology makes it possible for you to receive targeted information about your location.
USE OF DATA ANALYSIS TOOLS
The online "Lapano app" does not collect statistical information through third-party tools (such as Google Analytics).
USE OF EXTERNAL MAP TOOLS
Map contents are already stored and made available offline within the Lapano app so that, when you use the app, no information is sent to external servers or service providers.
INCLUSION OF VIDEOS
Videos used in the Lapano app are not made available offline via external services but via the Landscape Park's own Content Management System (CMS). No data are sent to third parties (such as YouTube etc).
SOCIAL PLUGINS
The Lapano app contains no social plugins (such as Instagram, Twitter etc.). In this respect, no information about users’ behaviour on social networks is shared within and via the Lapano app.
RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
Whenever your personal data are processed, you become the data subject in terms of the GDPR and have the following rights with regard to the controller:
1. RIGHT TO INFORMATION
You can request the controller to confirm whether personal data concerning you are being processed by us.
2. RIGHT TO ERASURE
A) DUTY TO ERASE
You can require the controller to delete your personal data without undue delay, and the controller is obliged to delete those data without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:
your personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
you withdraw consent on which the processing is based according to point (a) of Article 6 (1), or point (a) of Article 9 (2), and where there is no other legal ground for the processing.
you object to the processing pursuant to Article 21 (1) and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or you object to the processing pursuant to Article 21 (2);
your personal data have been unlawfully processed.
your personal data have to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject.
your personal data have been collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article 8 (1).
B) INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
If the controller has made your personal data public and is obliged in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR to delete those data, taking into account the available technology and the implementation costs, the controller shall take appropriate measures, including technical means, to inform the data processor that you as the data subject have requested deletion of all links to these personal data or deletion of copies or replications of such personal data.
C) RESTRICTIONS
The right to erasure does not exist insofar as processing is required to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information.
3. RIGHT TO OBJECT
You have the right, at any time, to object to the processing of data concerning you for reasons arising from your particular situation. However, we cannot comply with this if there is an overriding public interest in the processing or a legal requirement obliges us to process.
4. RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
If you believe that we have not - or have not fully - dealt with your concern, you can lodge a complaint with the relevant Data Protection Supervisory Authority.
