Do you want to join me on an adventure tour?

Let's do the "Grand GPS Treasure Hunt with Edgar". The Visitor's Centre offers GPS devices and road books. Here you'll find more at Specials.

Guided Tours

A guided tour through the Landscape Park will show you a piece of living industrial and cultural history. Visitors have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the production process of pig iron. Blast Furnace 5 in particular is the perfect place to gain a very realistic picture of the impressive production chain of the former ironworks. Standing in front of the Blast Furnace’s run-off chute they talk to visitors about the hot working conditions and give an insight into an ironworker's life. It’s especially on the torchlit guided tours at weekends that the works once more gives off a fiery glow just as it did thirty years ago. But please note – on the evening tours a torch is essential!

Open Tours

The open guided tours mentioned below can also be booked separately for groups such as companies, universities or private groups.
