… the Main Switching House houses not only the park restaurant and the Visitors’ Centre, but also the Landscape Park administration?

… the Main Switching House connected the ironworks to the public mains supply after the power needed in the blast furnace complex could no longer be produced with the closure of the Power Plant?

… when the works was operational the Main Switching House contained two huge transformers which could each provide the ironworks’ network with 110,000 volts? In the Visitors’ Centre and in the Main Switching House restaurant you can still see parts of these transformers.
