Diving
The diving gasometer in the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is the largest indoor diving basin in Europe. The diving gasometer has a diameter of 45 metres and a depth of 13 metres.
Divers will find an artificial reef and the wreck of a motor yacht as well as lots of other special features in the 21 million litres of rainwater - an underwater landscape which in form and size has no equal.
Central to the basics of diving is the Diving School, which provides you with the opportunity to learn and make progress in accordance with the various diving associations (PADI, SSI, CMAS). The wide provision comprises, amongst other things: taster sessions, adventure diving, a diving school, diving instructor training, training for police and fire brigade divers and bottle refilling.
In addition to the normal diving and training provision, events and special activities are always being planned and held, such as underwater weddings, birthday parties, company outings and Bank Holiday events.
Members of the Nordpark Diving Club can dive for free during club diving hours.

For people with a diving licence:
Diving is open to the public every Saturday, Sunday and on advertised days.
Diving licence essential: at least Open Water Diver, 1 star or bronze.
